John & Rachel's Mass Choir February 2010

John and Rachel's Homer High School Choir joined with all the other Kenai Peninsula high school choirs this February for a two-day session with a guest conductor and composer, Dr. Rollo Dilworth, where they performed three of his compositions, one of which was an original composition composed in their honor, which had never been performed before. They also performed Hine Ma Tov, a Jewish folk song taken from Psalm 133:1, the Psalm of Ascents of David; and Let Their Celestial Concerts Unite, from the oratorio, "Samson" by Handel. Individual choirs also performed. The Homer High School Choir sang two amazing pieces: In Virtute Tua Domine, by Gorczycki and The Conversion of Saul, by Stroope.

I am attaching two videos (poor quality - sorry, but gives you an idea of how the choir looked on stage -- a combined choir with 333 students!) and audio versions of the rest of the concert.
